Still two days before the start of the MPFC '08 and the roads around Manning Point are in gridlock.

Thousands of eager spectators, desparate to beat the rush of previous years are heading to Manning Point early.

Accomodation is fully booked, the shores are strewn with tents and worse, the local hostelries have already run out of beer.

Marcus Copperi is reported to be flying to Giraffe Brewery in a last ditch attempt to secure sufficient refreshments for the teams.

Rumours that Gang Hook has defected to the Mexicans have been vigorously denied by his agent, although with an almost unlimited supply of tequila, the temptation may be hard to refuse.

All spectators, groupies and invitees are urged to take care travelling and if possible use the recently installed high speed train link.
