Rules Change for 2010

Press release from Mr Copperi reads as follows:

"After a 27 hr marathon sitting of the Court of Arbitration in Fishing, convened at the spiritual home of extreme fishing, Reykjavík, it has been declared that the Fish Weighting Factors re-introduced at Manning Point in 2009 is INVALID, and has been superseded by the laws declared in 1449 which is a Species Based Points System. This system replaced the FWF scoring system (circa 1448) in Geneva after a mass riot caused by reaction to 'Lead Planting Larry' winning the 1448 tournament.  We were unaware of this chapter in our history until Baldric found a Roman Plaque in a field in Essex. We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience".

So what does it mean to you?  In essence, the 2010 Champion will be decided by points allocated to the biggest fish of each targeted species with some upsells for really big fish. Full details are on The Rules Page.
