Fish Fingered

It seems wherever there is big prize money and fame there is corruption and cheating.  Just look at the Fine Cotton entanglement!  It seems the pressure to win what has been rumoured to be the last MPFC has caused a number of competitors to use fishy practices that are a bit on the nose.

A number of competitors have been snagged trying to smuggle fish caught prior to the commencement of the competition.  To combat this the MPFC committee has engaged a heavily armed contingent of the Fish Police.  All competitors vehicles and boats will be inspected as they pass the checkpoint and random searches will be performed on accomodation and fridges and eskies.  Any fish that can't be proven to have been caught during the competition will be confiscated and the competitor suspended.

Some participants have suggested previous competitions may have been won using this technique.  When the previous winners were quizzed Barnacle responded "Shiver me timbers! You won't catch me doing that but I wouldn't put it past that Big Jigger" while an even more indignant Big Jig responded "You won't see any newspaper on my fish.  That Barnacle character has been know to pull some pretty low acts - barnacles are pretty low after all.  I know Mangrove is getting pretty desperate though"  Not outright denials, let's hope the competition is kept above (the cutting) board.
