BigJig Investigated

Allegations of Poll Manipulation have soured the air in this years MPFC contest.

Current tournament favourite BigJig has been accused of poll fixing by fellow competitors Barnacle and Catfish.

BigJig has so far not commented on the allegations, a spokesperson for BigJig saying that "the reason that BigJig was so far ahead in the polls at present was because of his huge fan base".

Spectator ticket sales this year have again exceeded all expectations, with fears that once again, the area will become gridlocked in the days leading up to the tournament.

Marcus Copperi has urged spectators to leave home early to try and avoid the congested road.  Thousands have already arrived, many waving flags supporting BigJig.

Newcomer Captain BlueRing, also high in the poll ratings, has so far avoided any controversy, although there are rumours that Blue Ring has appointed Saatchi & Saatchi as his public relations consultant.
