As incumbent MPFC Champion it seems strange that Haka Jo would miss the opportunity to go back to back in the 2015 competition. He has reportedly been requested to attend the national Allianz Sales Club Awards in sunny NZ. A likely story indeed, however one suspects a red herring!

Local resident, all round good guy and former occupant of Manning Point Manor, James, picked up this great jewie while flicking for plastics. He was just near the pool when I got onto this cracker.

Haka Jo has one hand on the trophy after a sterling day on the Manning. He started with a few nice whiting and followed with a 50cm flattie. The day, however, was crowned golden when he landed a 75cm jewie after a good 10 minute fight around the oyster leases.
