As part of his ongoing charity work, 2010 Manning Point Fishing Classic Champion, Mangrove Mike, has taken 2013 Rookie, Groper Griffo, under his wing for some mentoring in the twin arts.
Groper, using the excuse of "it's my wedding", has taken Mangrove and his family to the beautiful waters of Fiji for some serious study.

The weather bureau is warning tropical cyclone Plankton could bring heavy rain as it approaches the South Eastern hamlet of Manning Point in New South Wales.
The system is continuing to strengthen but the Bureau of Meteorology says heavy rain could cause flooding in low lying areas.

Some of you may be aware that last year I participated in the Worlds Greatest Shave
Well its that time of the year again and since I had a close shave with cancer the christmas before last it is a worthwile charity
Last year I rasied $3000 for the lLeukaemia Foundation and hope to raise the same again

Ganghook has returned fron his breif holiday in the Arctic circle.
Sadly all attempts to catch that most delicious of piscatorial delicacies, the fresh water ling, have failed.
