WAGs turn out for Night of Nights

The annual Barnacle Barry Medal Awards were held last night at a glittering ceremony at Manning Point Bowling Club and Casino.

The Award, named in honour of the inaugural winner of the Manning Point Fishing Classic, went to the consistant but offten un-heralded, Ganghook Gibbo in a peer voting system. Ganghook, nearly in tears in accepting the award, seemed to indicate that all would not be complete until he wins a Manning Point Fishing Classic.  "It'll never be complete until I win a Manning Point Fishing Classic" he blubbered.

The night, however, was all about the wives and girlfriends (often brought along by the same fisherman). The WAGs shone brightly through the dark skys at the Casino. As these pictures attest, the allure of an International Fisherman attracks the best of the best.

Mal Coad as usual supplied the entertainment for the night that had the WAGs and our fishing heroes boogie-ing away to well past 10pm.
