Team Karisma Favourites

Bookmakers are no longer taking bets on the MPFC '07 with Team Karisma a certainty to win the team event this year.

With just over two weeks until the tournament starts, a win by Team Karisma could send the bookies broke.  With odds last weekend of 2007 to one, Local paparazzi captured the launch and sea trials of Team Karisma's new boat.  Within minutes, the bookies closed.

Local fishers who witnessed the trials said 'this boat is just a fish magnet, there is no way any other team can compete'.

Marcus Copperi was shown footage of the trials and has begun investigations into the allegations of fish magnets, saying that he is unsure of the ruling regarding such techniques.

Barnacle Barry, Captain of the 'Barnacle Tub' is threatening to boycott the event if Marcus allows fish magnets, saying that these devices had been banned for almost 200 years.

Meanwhile, other less scrupulous competitors including Mangrove Mike, Stillwater Steve and Catfish Col are denying allegations of team fixing, saying that when they applied for team none, they actually meant Team Karisma and that the "donations"  they made completely legitimate.
