Marcus Copperi's Food Investigations

It appears that Manning Point Fishing Classic co-coordinator extraordinaire Marcus Copperi has been searching the world over to select the best caterers for next years Classic. There were rumours abound of Rick Stein, Gordon (Fu^%$%kin' ) Ramsey, Jamie Oliver and even the revered BBQ Bill. But as these photographs illustrate, it seems that Marcus is going to the top - the chef of chefs, the Iron Chef to defeat all others - Yes it's Iron Chef French, Hiroyuki Sakai.

Marcus was very coy when questioned about this liaison, but his friendship with well known foodie, Iron Chef Mike, means that this leaf of faith is but a gentle step.

Also seen in conversation with the the very lovely Joanna Savill from SBS's "Food Lovers Guide to Australia" was Marcus Copperi's gorgeous Italian wife, Louisianna. Louisianna commented that Joanna was one of the nicest and friendliest hosts she had ever met - crowned heads of Europe take note!

It is understood that the Manning Point Marina and Restaurant will also be a strong contender for the catering, but based upon these photos Jim, you better have the pencils sharpened.

Note: The Manning Point Bowling Club already has a three year contract for liquid refreshments that will not be affected by the catering agreements
